Leiston-cum-Sizewell Town Council own two allotment sites within Leiston – Valley Road and Haylings Road – with over 200 allotment plots available to residents of Leiston-cum-Sizewell.
Allotments can be a lovely place to grow your fruit and vegetables, enjoy the fruits of your labour and make friends.
The Leiston Allotment Holders and Gardeners Association (LAHGA) offers competitive prices on gardening supplies at their shop at the Valley Road allotment site, as well as a 10% discount on gardening supplies at Coopers in Leiston. The association are always about to offer free gardening tips and advice. They hold an annual show, where members can bring along their prized vegetables and plants as well as entering into other categories. If you are interested in becoming a member then head to the Allotment Shop open Saturday between 10am to 12 noon to sign up.
To apply for an allotment plot, please contact the office on 01728 830388 and we will send an application form. Please note that the demand for an allotment is high and there is often a waiting list. Once we receive your email we will email you back to inform you of your position on the waiting list.
