Leiston-cum-Sizewell Town Council is aware of the ongoing issues being experienced by residents following the introduction of the new waste and recycling collection service and has formally raised concerns with East Suffolk Council.
The Town Council appreciates that introducing a new service can involve challenges, but the number of reports being received regarding missed food waste collections is a matter of significant concern and has highlighted concerns regarding the advice provided to residents to place excess food waste in general waste bins, given the extended period between general waste collections. Concerns have also been raised about the impact these disruptions are having on residents and confidence in the new service.
